A saying is a short, clever expression that usually contains advice or expresses some obvious truth.
These sayings are called "proverbs".
Proverbs are wise sayings in a language based on the practical experiences of different kinds.
They can mostly be used independently to explain a situation in very few words. Many people credit all or most of the Psalms to David, but David wrote only 73 of the 150 psalms.
There were six other writers.
